The LDPCSD Board and staff has worked very hard to secure grant money for critical infrastructure projects. Over the past two years, we have received grants(for the first time ever in LDPCSD history) to build new groundwater wells for an emergency drought water supply.
In 2016, the District partnered with the Mariposa County Resource Conservation District (MCRCD) to secure a grant to replace leaky water pipes and continue to improve water conservation in the region. This $160,000 check is the first reimburement from this new $1,000,000 grant received from the Department of Water Resources. When you see the District's contractor out in the street replacing leaky water service pipes, now you will know that this DWR grant is paying the cost of the contractor invoice!
